Yarn: 3 (3) skeins of Cormo Worsted by Mitchell Wool Co (100% naturally dyed non-sw Cormo, 112 yds /105 m – 50 g), colorway Naturally Dyed Indigo.
NOTE: Book suggest Cormo Aran, which is no longer available. Cormo Worsted by Mitchell Wool Co works beautifully for this pattern. Please swatch to adjust needle size if needed.
Or approx. yardage of 200 (240) yds / 185 (220) m of Aran or worsted-weight yarn or any yarn in which you obtain gauge.
Suggested alternatives: Garthernor “No. 4 Aran”.
Needles: US 8 / 5 mm 22” / 60 cm circular needles.
Notions: Stitch marker, snips, darning needle, blocking materials.
GAUGE
16 sts x 26 rnds to 4” / 10 cm on US 8 / 5 mm needles in stockinette st in the rnd, after blocking.
CONSTRUCTION
Mountaineering is bottom up cowl, knit in the round. Cowl includes a rolled hem with 1 x 1 rib. Design features a simple mirrored mountain inspired texture using only knits and purls.
