Mount's Bay Shawl
by Sophie Wire
This pattern will be available to buy shortly, but is currently being tested here. If you’d like to test knit for me please apply through the forum, thank you.
Named after Mount’s Bay in Cornwall, as the peaks in the trim look a little like St Michael’s Mount- and it is somewhere you often need a shawl!
I have successfully knitted this in a variety of alpaca DK yarns. Pictured is Rowan Alpaca Colour, which has a subtle change in hue and makes for an interesting effect.
This is a satisfyingly easy shawl, with a lace trim knitted last. Being DK it is also quite a quick knit, but it’s big enough to be nice and snuggly.
