Meet our adorable Mouse. She’s cute, cuddly and fits perfectly into your hand.

This Mouse is suitable for advanced beginner knitters and assumes an understanding of basic stitches, i-cord and standard knitting terms. Our Mouseis knit flat and sewn together using a mattress stitch.

This pattern is perfect for using up the ends of yarn from other projects.

If you’re new to knitting stuffed friends, or are uncomfortable winging it without strict guidelines (that’s OK, we all need good directions sometimes to help us out) you will need approximately 25 m of medium weight grey yarn and 1 m of medium weight black yarn. With this yarn, use 4 mm (US size 6) needles. You will also need stuffing (we use ecofil or wool) and a tapestry needle to sew your mouse together. This will let you create a mouse that’s approximately 14 cm (5.5 inches), in length.

The beauty of knitting stuffed friends is that this pattern can be knit in any size yarn with accompanying needles. Generally we find using a size or two smaller needles than required by the yarn allows for the tightness needed when you’re stuffing your finished product.
