This little mouse is a quick, beginner-friendly project that produces a perfectly small, snuggly companion, well sized for little hands. The project is designed to be knitted flat but can be easily adapted to be knit in the round. This is a modular-style pattern and calls for 10 separately knitted pieces, including instructions for a single chocolate truffle. Great for remnant use. A mouse knitted using size US 3 needles stands about 5” tall.

Instead of embroidering the eyes, you can use small round black beads or safety eyes. The size of these notions is dependent on the size of the mouse. I suggest trying different sizes against the model to find an ideal proportional fit.
