This is a scarf inspired by the one worn by Jared Padalecki in “Thomas Kinkade’s Home for Christmas”. It’s a relatively simple cable design that I think would be great for a first time knitting cables. Gauge is not important. If you’re going to use a different yarn, just adapt the number of stitches to get a size that suits your tastes.
