Mousie
Mousie is also available as part of the Whimsical Little Knits Collection
A sweet little mouse that’s fun to knit from just a small amount of yarn. Mousie’s knit almost entirely in the round with minimal seaming. The body is worked in one piece, beginning with the charming I-cord tail and ending with the tip of his nose. Then sts are picked up for the simple I-cord limbs and big, alert ears. Mousie is the perfect gift for anyone who needs a mischievous little companion, including yourself.
Materials
- Approx 50m of mc and 10m of cc in fingering / 4ply, sport or double knitting weight yarn. Shown in Jaeger Matchmaker Merino 4ply in Graphite and Araucania Ranco Sock in 492.
- Set of 4 2mm dpns if using fingering / 4ply weight yarn or 3mm dpns if using sport or double knitting weight yarn. Since exact gauge isn’t important you can use any yarn with needles a couple of sizes smaller than recommended to give a tight fabric that the stuffing won’t poke through.
- Scrap of black yarn for embroidering eyes.
- Toy stuffing.
