A HAT TO KNIT WHILE LEARNING
TO BOSS AROUND CABLES

MATERIALS:

** One skein of “worsted wool” – about 220 yards/100 grams (you’ll
have some left over)

• One 16” circular needle size 4 for the ribbing
• One 16” circular needle size 6 for the hat
• One set of size 6 DPNs to shape the top of the hat
• One marker to keep track of the beginning of rounds once the fun begins
• One counter to keep track of rounds
• One cable needle, which you’ll soon learn to do without
• One open mind, willing to explore and play around, and let go with random abandon
