Had (Was allowed..) to mow the lawn last week.
So this was perfect for taking pictures of my new fun beanie anyway;-)
It’s the mowing the lawn beanie.

It has a picket fence like corrugated ribbing, followed by a guy mowing the lawn with his lawn mower….
You can see some grass or dust particles flying around him…
He’s followed by a little daisy border pattern and by a clothing line where T-shirts are hung up for drying in the sun on yellow pegs.
As I have been fascinated by American houses (the white ones with the porch), you can see 6 of them (!) on this hat. There is a satellite dish on top. Probably seen too much Gilmore girls and also Ava’s house in the first season of Justified where Dewey Crow meets Marshal Givens for the first time. There you can also see the white house with the satellite dish in the background. And some tiny sheep clouds.
At the top are sun rays and the sun.

Like all my hats it’s knitted in 4-ply sock yarn. You can use up your leftovers.
Alternatively you can use Acrylic or Merino yarn of similar weight (4 to 5 -ply)
You can adjust it to bigger sizes by going up one or two needle sizes and/or using 5-ply yarn or both.

It’s a fun knit. And easier than you may think as there are at most two colors in one round!

Letzte Woche mußte/durfte ich den Rasen mähen. Der perfekte Zeitpunkt um Bilder für meine neue Mütze zu machen.
Der Rasenmäh-Mütze… :)
Sie hat einen mehrfarbigen Gartenzaunbund. Dann folgt ein kleines Männchen, das den Rasen mäht. In der Luft sieht man Gras - und Staubpartikel….
Im Anschluß folgt eine kleine Gänseblümchenbordüre.
Darüber die Wäscheleine auf der blaue T-shirts an gelben Wäschklammern aufgehängt sind…
Da mich diese weißen amerikanischen Häuser mit ihrer Veranda faszinieren (das habt Ihr einer “Überdosis” Gilmore girls“ und “Justified” zu verdanken ;-), findet Ihr gleich 6 davon auf dieser Mütze. Inklusive Satellitenschüssel und Wölkchen im Hintergrund.
Darüber sieht man Sonnenstrahlen und die Sonne.
Die Mütze ist wie immer mit 4-fach Sockenwolle gestrickt.
Ihr könnt aber auch Merino oder Acrylgarn ähnlicher Stärke (4 - 5 fach verwenden).
Für größere Köpfe solltet Ihr zu größeren Nadeln greifen (3,5 mm) und oder 5-fach Garn verwenden.
Da maximal zwei Farben in einer Runde verwendet werden, ist die Mütze einfacher zu stricken als sie aussieht.
Und es macht irre Spaß! Ihr werdet schon sehen!
