Clarification on the provisional cast on section:
After finishing the last WS row of the body, do not turn work, and do not cut yarn.
To use the crochet-chain provisional cast on:
Set sweater aside. Using waste yarn and a crochet hook, loosely ch approximately 60 sts. With WS of sweater facing and using working yarn, pick up and knit 1 st into each loop of the crochet chain until you have 54 new sts.
To provisionally cast on using scrap yarn or a spare circular needle: (http://www.indigirl.com/blog/2010/11/how-to-video-provisi...)
With WS of sweater facing, and using the working yarn, provisionally cast on 54 sts using the above method.
Turn work to begin a RS row.
