Mr. Herbie
I’m not sure what Mr. Herbie is. And neither does Mr. Herbie. But that’s okay, he doesn’t mind. He’s a ball. Full of love.
He comes in any color you can think of, with any face you can think of. You can use acrylic, cotton, wool, solid colored, variegated, and of course leftover stash yarn. His face and eyes can be created with embroidery floss, yarn, buttons, felt, and plastic safety eyes. And he’s totally up for it. (And he’s okay with being a Mrs. Herbie, too.) Follow your heart’s desire and he’ll turn out great.
Mr. Herbie is perfect for beginners and anyone looking for a quick project. If you’re new to amigurumi, he is a great way to get your feet wet.
He’s made with four double point needles from the bottom up, knits up very fast, and requires little stuffing. (He can also easily be converted into a key chain!) Make him for children, pets, and adults alike. (Just make sure your small child or pet can’t swallow him or any pieces!)
You’re totally allowed to make him for charity events and such, but please don’t sell any products made from this pattern or the pattern itself. That’s not nice.
