This cute little piggy here is made in one piece. The arms and legs will be crocheted in. You’ll only have to sew on the ears and muzzle in the end. Mr. Lucky has dangling legs and thus can only sit and not stand unsupported.

Pigs are a symbol of good luck in the German culture. It is tradition that we gift loved ones and friends with a „good luck pig“, sometimes accompanied by a four-leafed clover, at New Year’s Eve to make sure their New Year will be a good and wealthy one. Quite often we find pigs on a birthday cake, give them away for important life steps, exams, surgeries, anything someone can use a bit extra luck for.

The pattern includes 21 pages and is quite simple. Even ambitioned beginners should have fun making this cute pig. If you have already done one or the other amigurumi, you should not have any problems.

You need:
Cotton yarn in the following colors:
Light pink - about 31 g
Dark brown - about 11 g
Light brown - about 7 g
Green - about 1 g
100 % Cotton – 50 g = 125 m / 1.75 oz = 137 yds

2 safety eyes: 9 mm
stuffing material
crochet hook: size 2.5 mm

Required skills:
magic ring, chains, single crochets, double crochets, slip stitch, crocheting in contiuous rounds as well as in closed rounds, increase, decrease, color change

Size (when using a crochet hook 2.5 mm):
stretched out - about 24 cm / sitting - about 16 cm

Dieser süße kleine Schatz hier wird in einem Ratsch durchgehäkelt. Körper und Kopf sind ein Teil. Die Arme und Beine werden direkt mit eingehäkelt. Annähen müsst ihr nur noch die Schnauze und die Ohren. Das Schweinchen hat Schlenkerbeine und kann somit nur sitzen und nicht stehen. Egal, ob für Neujahr oder einfach so: Mr. Lucky ist überall da richtig, wo ein bisschen Glück gebraucht werden kann.
