Mr. McGregor's Carrots
Springtime knitting calls for some hand knit carrots! This super bulky, quick, stash busting pattern makes a perfect addition to your Spring decor or Easter tablescape. This is knit flat using the garter stitch and then seamed together for a fun, cute, beginner project.
Carrots come in all shapes, sizes, and colors so get all your super bulky scraps ready to make some fun rainbow carrots!
MATERIALS
US size 10.5 (6.5 mm) needles — straight or circular
Scissors
Measuring tape
Tapestry needle
Polyfill (optional)
SUGGESTED YARN
Super bulky weight (6)
Malabrigo Rasta recommended
Approximately 11 yards of carrot color and 1-2 yard(s) of stem color
GAUGE AND MEASUREMENTS
Gauge is not really important for this project. Different sized carrots will result and that’s ok! However, my gauge was 12 sts x 18 rows = 4” square in stockinette and my carrots measure 9”, not including the stem.
Add to your springtime/Easter tablescape with some Bitty Beanie egg cozies!
