Mr. Rogers
I have always wanted to have a neighbor just like him… so I finally made my own! This is my small tribute to a wonderful human.
This pattern is worked in pieces both flat and in the round, and then sewn together at the end.
Adventurous beginner (You can do it! Trust me!)
Skills used include magic ring, chain stitch, single crochet, slip stitch, single crochet two together (sc2tog), back loops only (blo), changing colors, whipstitch, and simple embroidery.
I used MUCH less than one skein each of in Knit Picks Brava Worsted in Cobblestone Heather, Clarity, Red, and Solstice Heather, as well as a bit of Red Heart Super Saver in Buff.
Also needed:
-1 removable stitch marker OR safety pin for marking start of round
-yarn needle
-6mm safety eyes
-small amounts of poly stuffing
Gauge is not crucial to this project. You’ll just want to be sure that your stitches are tight enough that the stuffing won’t show through.
Finished doll is about 3.5 inches tall.
