Mr Snail is the ultimate pin protector, needle minder, pin cushion or just a really cute addition to the house!

This pattern is written using UK terminology.

Stitches which may be used;

Ch – Chain
Mr – Magic Ring
St - Stitch
Dc – Double crochet
Inc – increase (two dc in one st)
Dec – decrease (dc two stitches together)
Htc – Half Treble Crochet
BLO – Back loop only
Sl st – Slip stitch
FO – finish off

For this pattern I have used;

DK Yarn. Any small amount of DK yarn will be sufficient. I will give details of the yarn I used for the brown version just so you have an idea of what is needed. You can choose to do Mr Snail in any colour you wish, mix it up as much as you like! Don’t forget to head over to one of my pages and show me your finished version.
Cream DK for the head and body
Medium brown for the shell
Dark brown for the shell outline
Black for the facial features
Stuffing (Fiberfil) or stones if going to be a decoration/ornament.
Hook – 3.25mm
Needle
Scissors
Stitch Markers

We will be working in continuous rounds throughout this pattern.

Use pins to position each piece correctly before sewing them together.

Mr Snail can be made as a miniature stuffy, a pin cushion, a needle minder or even an ornament. If being used as an ornament, be sure to use something to weight his shell down with small stones/rice in a small bag for him the be able to “sit” in a certain position.
