His magic spikes on the head attract the gemstones, hidden in the rocks and underground, and Mr. Spike collect the gemstones on his head during the day. This pattern is made for those, who knows basics of amigurumi and how to sew the details together.

This pattern is written in American terms:

• MR - Magic Ring
• sl st – Slip Stitch
• sc – Single Crochet
• hdc - Half Double Crochet
• invdec - Invisible Decrease
• inc – Increase
• (…)xN – repeat all inside the parentheses N times
• BLO! – crochet into the back loops only!

Crochet in a spiral!

Approximate toy size with spikes – 12cm/4.7 inches

Materials:
• Yarn of your choice. I used „Schachenmayr Catania” yarn, 50g/125m = 1.75oz/137yds , 100%mercerized cotton, 2-FINE, sport yarn.
• Crochet hook. I used 1.9 mm metal hook, but it is smaller than size what is written on yarn label. Use which is better for you, but note that size of the toy depends on your yarn and hook choice!
• Stuffing, yarn needle, sewing needle
• Scissors
• Pins
• Safety eyes (I used 9mm eyes)
• Embroidery thread for blush and eyeballs.

You can make him in colors you want.
There is so many wonderful combinations!
