Mr. Trash-Compacting Robot
Gauge is not crucial for this pattern, though I don’t recommend anything heavier than worsted weight. Needles smaller than the yarn calls for should be used so that the fabric is tighter and the fiberfill does not show through.
For the body and feet, I used 2” seat cushion foam that’s available at craft stores instead of fiberfill to better keep his shape.
His eyes make his head a little front-heavy, as I mention in the pattern. To remedy this, his eyes could be made smaller/lighter, or a support running front his head through his body could be used. I’m still working on this myself as my solution (running two strands of yarn from his head, through his neck, around his body, and back to his neck) may not be as sturdy as it needs to be for a 2 y/o boy.
This is my first pattern on Etsy, so I’m only putting a few up for sale at first. I’ll add more as needed.
I’d be glad to help anyone who has questions about making this project, just send me a message!
