This is NO SEWING, NO FACE SCULPTURING pattern. The doll is crochet as one piece starting from legs; only waistcoat and bag are removable. I’m a firm opponents of inserting a wire carcas in crochet dolls which are made to play with, not a derocative item. The perinial problem in such situation is a wobbly head; this pattern provides a unique solution to this problem; there is no wire support required. In addition to the pattern for the doll’s body, it includes a pattern for hair and crochet eyes.

The pattern contains detailed step-by-step description of the process with the photos and instructions for special stitches used in this pattern.

A STORY BEHIND THE PATTERN

I have a friend, 10 years old profoudly disable yet adorable girl. Last year, with COVID-19 scare and lockdowns, life wasn’t a great fun for her. I knew that Mr.Tumle was one of her favourite characters. More though, Justin Fletcher was so kind, that he recorded and sent her a personal message to her. So I decided to make her Mr Tumble doll. It was noticed by a local charity, that works with disable children and I was asked to make another one so that they can auction the doll to raise funds. And that’s how this pattern was created. To keep the Mr.Tumble’s spirit, 15% of the sale of this pattern is going to the children’s charities. Therefore when you buy this pattern, you not only create something special for a kid you care, but also support other children who need our help.
