This is a pattern for knitting a stuffed toy Mr Y - the giraffe. The toy is knitted entirely in the round. If you don’t like sewing up, this pattern is for you.
MATERIALS: yellow DK yarn - approximately: 20 - 30 g
String of strong black thread for the eyelids and
nostrils.
Handful white DK yarn for the muzzle, legs and
arms.
Handful red and black DK yarn for the tie.
Handful brown DK yarn for the legs, arms and
ossicones.
KNITTING GAUGE:
24 sts and 28 rows to 10 x 10 cm = 4” x 4” in stocking stitch (knit row on right side, purl row on wrong side) and 2.5 mm needles.
Gauge is not critical for this project. Work tight enough to make sure the stuffing would not show through the stitches.
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: 24 cm/ 9.44’’(without the ossicones)
The size will vary based on yarn type, needle size and your personal tension.
