Mr.Fox & Wolfe Mittens
These adorable little mittens are a perfect scrap yarn project.
Size: 4-5 year-old
Finished width: 6,5 cm / 2,5 “
Yarn:
Fingering weight yarn (100g = 400 m) in shades of copper, grey, cream and black.
The samples pictured combine scraps of hand dyed merino wool and Filcolana Arwetta.
Yarn consumption:
Copper: 9 g (~36 m / 40 yds)
Grey:9 g (~36 m / 40 yds)
Cream: 3 g (~12 m / 13 yds)
Black:1 g (~4 m /4,5 yds)
Needles: 2,5 mm / US size 1½ double-pointed needles (a set of 4 or 5) or a circular needle with a longer cable for magic loop.
Gauge: 30 stitches and 38 rows = 10 cm / 4” of stockinette in the round.
Additional equipment: A tapestry needle, waste yarn for thumb
