I recently binged on 5 seasons of a glorious tv series called “Six Feet Under”. Possibly my least favorite character (although fairly entertaining) was Brenda’s mom, Mrs. Margaret Chenowith. She’s selfish, crass, inappropriate, and often drunk at lunch. But, I always looked forward to seeing what interesting outfit she might be wearing next. This sweater is inspired by one she donned at yet another 2 martini lunch scene with daughter Brenda. (Season 4, episode 5, for any SFU fans out there)
Mrs. Chenowith will be flattering on most body types, with its close fit, smallish gauge, and waist shaping. Your lovely collarbone will be the center of attention with a wide ballet neck, while the alpaca keeps you nice and toasty. A reversible ribbed lace pattern used for arms and collar will keep you entertained, while being simple enough to work from memory. Knit-in hems and an i-cord finish will be well worth the extra effort, for a clean, professional looking knit.
