Mrs Winter's Mittens
Mrs Winter’s Mittens are knitted with two strands held together. 1 strand Bella Color and 1 strand Sunday. You can also change Sunday to Esther by Permin if you prefer. Here you start by knitting the braid and its lining and you can choose to make a provisional cast on and knit the edges together or a long tail cast on and sew the edges together. You then pick up stitches along one side of the braid/cuff to knit the stockinette part of the mitten. The mittens are knitted with a thumb gusset for a good fit. They are incredibly soft, supple and warm on the hands. The pattern is made for double pointed needles.
