Mt Lemmon Socks
The Mt Lemmon Socks are a fun design featuring stranded knitting on the leg and striped rows on the foot! This design is worked from the top down, starting at the cuff, through the leg, then working a heel flap and gusset. Stitches are then picked up to create the foot and you finish the design with a kitchener stitch at the toe!
Sizing:
S(M,L) 7.5”(9”, 11”) circumference. When measuring foot, make sure to measure at the widest part of your foot to ensure proper fit!
Suggested Yarn:
265 - 290 yards of fingering weight yarn of your choice. For long term wear, it is best to choose a yarn blend with nylon in it for strength!
Suggested Needles:
US 1.5 (2.5mm) 9” circulars, 32” (for magic loop method) or US 1.5 (2.5mm) DPNs for small circumference knitting.
Notions:
2 stitch markers, weaving needle, scissors.
Techniques featured:
knit stitches, purl stitches, decreasing, slipped stitches, stranded colorwork, charted instructions, heel flap and gusset, kitchener stitch for toe, cuff down sock knitting.
