It works up quickly using super bulky/super chunky yarn for when you need headgear for a last-minute race or a surprise gift. The single pair of cables is enough to keep the knitter occupied while the simple style will suit all members of the family, whatever the weather conditions.
The pattern is mostly written instructions; the cable pattern is given as both written and charted directions. It is not necessary to use charts to work this design.

The pattern is given in three sizes, Child (to fit head circumference 18”-20”/46-51cm), Teen/Small Adult (to fit head circumference (20”-22”/51-56cm), and Large Adult (to fit head circumference 22”-24”/56-61cm) when worked to pattern tension of 9 stitches to 4” of stocking stitch using 9mm (US13) needles.

You will need:
74yds, (82yds,91yds) /68m (75m, 83m) super bulky/super chunky yarn
8mm (US11) knitting needles for working in the round
9mm (US13) knitting needles for working in the round
3 stitch markers (1 to mark end of round, 2 to mark position of cable)
Cable needle
Darning needle (for weaving in ends)
