It’s been three years since I launched Knorfolknots’ first pattern on Rav. And so much (good knitting stuff) has happened since. So to celebrate please accept this pattern as a gift from me, to say thank you for all the support.

Mudlarking Mitts are ideal wear for keeping hands warm and fingers free. Free for picking-up treasures found on the beach on a beachcombing walk.

Although, strictly speaking, Mudlarking happens along river banks and a Mudlarker is someone who searches in river mud at low tide for useful, salvageable objects – particularly along the banks of the River Thames (London, UK). And, if we are being really pedantic, these Mudlarking Mitts are not really mittens either, but more properly, wrist warmers.

That aside, these Mudlarking Mitts will keep your hands warm and your fingers free, whatever you are doing. What is more, they are an ideal way to use up those left-over yarns, salvaged from other completed projects, or gleaned from friends, charity shops and re-worked items.

The Mitts are worked flat and seamed along their inside edge.
