This pattern appears on page 57 of the book, as two slightly different scarves. The stitch pattern is the same, but the gauge and hooks are different because the yarn size and type is different (chenille vs. cotton).
For the chenille scarf, three balls are called for, and the gauge is 26 stitches and 21 rows to six inches.
For the cotton scarf, two balls are called for, and the gauge is 22 stitches and 21 rows to five inches.
This is a beginner’s project with a simple stitch pattern that produces a satisfying textured result.
