Muffy Hand Muff
UPDATE: As of June 30, 2014, this pattern is no longer available. Thank you to those who knit Muffy Hand Muff; I’ve enjoyed seeing your projects!
This is a photo tutorial on the construction of a simple (knit stitch only) hand muff.
The muff is knit with a 16” long circular needle, Size 11 and super bulky (weight category 6) yarn making this a quick knit. It is an excellent first project for a new knitter or for someone needing a last-minute gift.
The project uses less than one skein of super bulky yarn and two balls of eyelash yarn (two strands of eyelash yarn, one from each ball, are used at the same time). Another novelty yarn could be substituted for the eyelash yarn to achieve a different whimsical effect.
A large (3 1/4”) yarn/tapestry needle is used to sew cast-on edge to bind-off edge.
The finished muff may be embellished by adding a bow, a flower, a pin, or other interchangeable decoration of your choice.
Enjoy this fast, fun, and fashionable project!
