This is an advanced and complex Fair Isle knitting pattern for a hat. It contains 7 pages of written instructions and charts.
It is knit in the round and made out of ten colors. It might also be a great project to use up small amounts of yarn in your stash.

It is inspired by the wonderful book ‘Designs and Patterns from Muhu Island’. If you ever come across it take your chance to have a look. The bright colors and motifs of the Estonian folk art are very well captured in this book. I was deeply touched when reading it and I just could´t resist to make my own version of a Muhu shawl and hat. And it just had to be cute and spread the love for craftsmanship. I rather think of it as a piece of jewelry than a garment.
