Muireach
by Amy Duncan
I live in a land of perpetual winter - at least, that is how it feels some days! Muireach was a product of one of the coldest of those endless days. I wanted, no needed something warm, strong, intriguing and yet comforting. I took a traditionally shaped sailors cap and added interesting cables and a luxurious yet practical yarn. And since one can’t wait for long with cold ears, Muireach is a quick knit.
Can be worn as a traditional watch cap or unfolded for a loose slouchy look. Can easily be a unisex hat with the right yarn color and fiber choice.
