Muireann child's jacket & hat
This roomy jacket and hat makes a cozy outfit for your little one. Make with any washable worsted and it will survive everyday life with a toddler, or make it in a deluxe yarn for special days. There is a large cable embellishing the garter-stitch base. It has a girl’s name, but would make a spiffy blazer for a little lad, just reverse the buttonhole instructions. Muireann, pronounced Mur-in, means “sea-white, sea-fair” and is said to have been the name of a mermaid caught by a fisherman in Lough Corrib, Co. Galway.
