The Mulawa Shawl is an interesting combination of lace stripes and brioche stitch stripes, that gradually grow, to create a large triangle shawl. Each section is a little bit different so you will never lose interest! The main colour in the brioche section swaps alternatively, so both colours get a chance to shine :-) While an i-cord edge keeps the whole shawl neat and contained.
The lace sections are easy and intuitive, with charted and written instructions. The brioche sections use basic increases and decreases, which are explained in the pattern, to create the flowing pattern.
Choose three interesting colours and get started on your Mulawa Shawl!

Yarn Requirements
Fingering weight/4 ply/sock yarn - Colour 1 (Brioche): 275-295m (300-320yds), Colour 2 (Brioche): 270-280m (295-305yds), Colour 3 (Lace): 400-410m (437-448yds).

Note: There are instructions included in the pattern to guide you through making your shawl slightly smaller to accomodate a smaller amount of Colour 3, just in case you have a skein with less yardage.
