Spring is calling! Get your yearly dose of leafy stitch patterns. Those are enjoyable to knit and gorgeous to look at!
Go on a woody journey! The patterns in these 2 bundles include lace with leaf motifs, literally, but also leaf-inspired intricate lace. Some leaf motifs are used on their own, and some are combined with other lacy stitch patterns either horizontally or vertically. This brings a lot of variety in the stitch patterns, and a lot of fun and variation to the knitting.
Dive into Into the woods with any of (or both) these bundles! Check them out on Ravelry: Into the woods and Into the woods II Get one or both bundles at 15% off (see coupon codes on the bundle pages) and have some fun with leaf motifs!
I live in a townhouse with a tiny, minuscule garden, and a balcony almost as large as the garden. On my balcony lives a big sage plant with its elongated, textured, and velvety leaves. When I first discovered this leafy stitch pattern, I immediately thought of sage and mint. Then followed images of strolls in parks and gardens back in France, of fragrant herbs, of sunny and warm evenings amidst flowers, bushes, and trees. The Mulberry Sage cowl is an ode to these places and memories. The main stitch pattern forms a canopy of leaves and is adorned with a choice of two lacy edgings to make the cowl symmetrical, or not. Join me on this garden stroll and knit yourself a piece of nature with one of your precious skeins!
For best effect, use a smooth, round yarn with good stitch definition. Yarn weights ranging from Fingering to DK would be suitable. As for colorways, I would recommend solid, semi-solid, or single skein gradient yarns.
Do you like the Mulberry Sage cowl? You might like those patterns too: The Kobberbøg scarf / stole, and the Brambasi scarf / stole. For endless fun with leaf motifs! Check them out!
