Mullion Cove Socks
The Mullion Cove Socks are a top down pattern beginning with a ribbed cuff, they have a wave like lace pattern on the leg and instep, a rounded French heel flap and gusset and a slightly rounded wedge toe.
Although two colours are used to create the wave effect, only one colour is worked per round.
The lace section has both charted and written instructions.
Yarn - 4ply sock yarn (100g = 400m / 437 yards)
Main Colour - 320m (350 yards)
Contrast Colour - 80m (88 yards)
Kits in two colourways are available from Stitches and Cream, with yarns dyed especially for them by Lay Family Yarn.

Gauge - Blocked
36 stitches and 46 rows = 10cm (4”)
in lace pattern.
Needles - Suggested size
2.25mm (US 1) needles for ribbing.
2.5mm (US 1½) needles for rest of sock.
In your preferred method for working small circumference, (DPNs, long circular for magic loop or small circumference circulars)

There are 3 sizes in the pattern 60, 64 and 68 stitch circumference.
Circumference of sock - blocked
Size One - 16.5cm (6½”)
Size Two - 18cm (7”)
Size Three - 19cm (7½”)
To be worn with negative ease.
Pick a size 2.5 to 5cm (1 to 2”) smaller than your foot circumference (measured around the ball of your foot)
I have a 21cm (8.5”) foot and am wearing size 2 in the photos.
