Multicolored Celtic Knot
This square Celtic knot pattern can be worked in any gauge. The finished piece is a square with a side-length of about 110 sc. The strands consist of 4 rows of sc, shaped with increases and decreases (2 sc in same stitch to increase, slst2tog to decrease). The strands are then woven together and running-stitched in place.
With a 4mm hook and Caron Simply Soft, I used slightly less than one skein of the main colour, and about 40 m each of the three outline colours. (If you want to use this as a stash-buster, and incorporate smaller amounts of more colours, more detailed yardage information is included in the pattern.)
You’ll need a tapestry needle, short lengths of contrasting yarn, masking tape, and a pen.
This pattern was created with slight modifications using the technique of A General Method for Crocheted Knotwork.
