This side-to-side design offers a very unique construction that teaches you how to incorporate short rows to curve the piece at the same time that you are enlarging and then decreasing it to make a perfect crescent shape with a touch of lace edging worked right in. Working side-to-side has many advantages--1. You can get the most of your yarn by making sure you have used up 1/2 skein before decreasing. Once you hit the halfway mark, the decreases make it fast and easy to end. 2. You never have too many stitches on the needle.
