While my testers were knitting my shawl “Moon at Midnight” I was working on this cowl… It is time to gear up the autumn wardrobe, so here it is:)

Design and construction
The cowl is worked seamlessly and in-the-round as a tube, for warming, cozy and easy wearing.
It features 6 different sections worked in a variety of sts: stockinette/garter/lace/moss and a lovely stitch-pattern, the Multiflora pattern. Combining 3 colours you can match lots of other coulors of your wardrobe. An interesting and fast knit!

Size
Circumference: 64 cm/25”
Total height, from cast-on to bind-off: 53 cm/21”
You could easily modify the cowl to other measurements.

Materials
Yarn: I used Biches et Bûches “Le Cashmere & Lambswool” to work the cowl.
This light fingering weight yarn comes in skeins of 50 gr/1.76 oz and 248 m/272 yards.
I used 140 m/153y of Colour 1: dark grey, 60 m/65y of Colour 2: pink, 140 m/153y of Colour 3: light grey. You might use any light fingering/fingering weight yarn that knits up to gauge. I do recommend a yarn that will be soft next to your skin. Find a lovely mix of 3 solid colours working well together, or 1 variegated yarn and 2 solids… Needles: I used a circular needle, 40 cm/16” long, size 3.5 mm/US4 to work the cowl. Notions: 1 removable stitch-marker. Blocking tools. Blunt tapestry needle. A row-counter is useful.

Gauge
22 sts in stockinette sts (as well as in the lace and patterns used) = 10 cm/4”. For best results work according to gauge.

The lace is charted, as well as written out, round-by-round.
