Multiplicity
Multiplicity is one of those wraps that I want to knit over and over again. The knitting is interesting and fun but you can still chat with friends while working on it, and when you’re done you have a beautiful, wearable shawl that spans the seasons.
Finished Sizes
78 (90)“ wide by 20 3⁄4 (24)” deep, after light blocking. Shawl pictured measures 90” x 24”.
Yarn
The Plucky Knitter Cashmere (100% cashmere; 285 yds /100 g): On The Rocks (MC) 3 skeins, Twill (CC1), Happy Camper (CC2), Fancy Free (CC3), CC Bloom (CC4), Ogre (CC5) and Wink and a Smile (CC6) 1 skein each. Appx 565 (650) yds MC, 13 (15) yds CC1, 26 (30) yds CC2, 44 (50) yds CC3, 65 (75) yds CC4, 78 (90) yds CC5, 104 (120) yds CC6—exact yardage will vary! For a 2 color version, simply substitute a single contrasting color for all of the CCs in the pattern, you’ll need appx 330 (380) yds.
2 color versions shown are knit in Dive Bar/Modern Vintage and Tin Type/Melba.
Needles
Size 6 (4.0 mm) 29” circular (cir) — because of the way this pattern is worked you will need a cir needle. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions
Marker (m).
Gauge
20 sts and 24 rows = 4” in Texture Pattern
Although gauge isn’t essential on this project, please note that any changes in gauge will affect the finished measurements and the amount of yarn needed.
