These hats are adorable checkered bucket beanies, much needed for cold winter days ❄❄❄ they are very pretty and cozy; and could be lovely baby shower gifts :)

You can choose whichever colours you like for the beanies; the patterns work well with two colours but you can make them much more colourful if you like.
Here you can see beanies in rainbow colours.

The baby hat will fit a 6-12 months old baby but is stretchy so could probably fit to a later age.

Baby beanie size:
Head circumference: 17.3 - 17.7” (44-45 cm).
Hat height: 6.3 - 6.7” (16-17cm).

In these patterns round endings are sewn perfectly !! You won’t be able to tell where they are !!

These are really fun patterns, using standard crochet stitches and Tunisian Entrelac crochet stitches, which are described in detail.

These are great to crochet, you will learn them with this pattern (if you don’t know them already), and could use them in future projects.

Each pattern includes two PDF files:

  1. Detailed step by step photo tutorial.
  2. The pattern without pictures for printing.

Both are written in US English terms.
It is a good idea to familiarize yourself with the patterns by following the photo tutorials first.
The printable versions are best used when you already know the patterns.

Skill level: Intermediate.
A basic knowledge of crochet techniques and stitches required.
