Munchie the fawn
With this very detailed pattern, you can make a super-realistic and playful fawn/ baby deer. This .pdf crochet pattern is written in standard American crochet terms.
Size
If you use the recommended yarn, your fawn will be 5.5 inch /14 cm long
Materials
For this crochet fawn you’ll need worsted weight Lètt Lopi yarn and you need an E US/3.5 mm crochet hook. You’ll need four colours: brown (acorn heather 0053), dark brown (1401 or chocolate heather 0867), light grey (light ash heather 0054) and a little bit of black (black sheep heather 0052). For the eyes I’ve used 9 mm animal eyes. You will also need fibrefill to stuff the body. Pipe-cleaners to use to fold the paws are optional, I would recommend it for this pattern but they are not safe for small children.
The crochet pattern contains
An intro with useful info. List of materials, tools and accessories needed. Brand and colour numbers of the needed yarn. A clear and colour coded description of how to crochet and assemble the animal, with instruction images next to the text and example pictures at the bottom to help you get everything right. All my patterns are text edited for correct English and have been tested by experienced crocheters before publishing.
Yarn
Istex Lett lopi. I strongly recommend using a fuzzy yarn because it gives the best result.
Gauge is unimportant for this pattern. If the pieces are crocheted tightly enough, they will not gape visibly when stuffed. You can make a little test swap to be sure.
