It’s Spinoodler Designs’ first birthday! To celebrate, I’m running a 2-for-1 promotion until 30 September. Just PM me a screenshot of your donation to a BLM organisation and I’ll send you the code in return.

Pay What Works:

In an effort to make this pattern more financially accessible, I have created a tiered pricing system:

MUNRO1: £4

MUNRO2: £6

No code: £8

Hundreds of thousands of years in the making, the number of Scottish hills known as Munros is nevertheless constantly changing depending on which survey is consulted. Generations have roamed them, for trade or for leisure, and hiking them provides a unique insight into the soul of this country. But since treks through the blooming heather and the plateau lochs are not available to everyone, I created this garter and stocking stitch shawl as my meditative alternative to exploring the moody and desolate beauty of the rolling Scottish hills in person.
The short rows are designed to bring out the painted quality of the yarn which evokes the hills’ rambling vegetation. The dynamic texture and simplicity combine to make this a relaxing yet rewarding knit.

Thank you to La Bien Aimée for the yarn support!
