Murcielago at Midnight Shawl
The Murcielago at Midnight is elegant, lacy, and warm, making it the perfect accessory for a night out. Inspired by bat wings, the shawl features five equal-sized sections with a solid spine between each one. It starts out with entirely solid rows and the pattern gets lacier as you work towards the bottom. The top of the shawl is sloped upwards, like the wings of a bat or the doors of the Lamborghini Murcielago.
The pattern uses simple sts (sc, dc, ch), but combines them in unique ways, making this pattern suitable for an adventurous beginner.
To make my samples, I used Mother Frogging Yarns Dazzle Sock and I highly recommend it. It’s gorgeous, soft, and the sparkle adds an extra touch of elegance. Yardage may vary based on yarn used and if gauge is not met, final size will vary as well. Since shawls fit well at a range of sizes, I’d prioritize a hook that’s comfortable for the yarn rather than meeting gauge.
