8ply/DK - 100grms or less for all sizes.
10ply/Worsted 100g or less for all sizes.
Equipment: 3.5mm and 4.5 mm for Dk and 3.75mm and 5.00mm 40cm needles for Worsted or whatever is required to get gauge, stitch marker, needle for weaving in ends and balloon for blocking
Gauge: 20st/10cm in stocking stitch on size 4.5mm for Dk and 19st/10cm in stocking stitch on 5mm needles for worsted.

Muriwai is a place of rugged beauty, situated on New Zealand’s wild West Coast. It’s dramatic volcanic black sand and pounding surf make it an impressive site indeed! It is a well known spot for surfers with Maori Bay over the hill being a known hot spot. It is also home to famous cliff top Gannet nesting area, which is home to around 1200 gannets nesting from August to March. I had the pleasure of residing in Muriwai for a time many moons ago… its wild beauty still conjures up magic memories for
me.
