Muscari Child Sweater
Muscari, also known as grape hyacinth or bluebells, is a bulbous plant often growned in the garden. At spring it produces dense spikes of blue flowers. There are about 40 species in the genus. In Dordogne where I live we protect Muscari motelayi.
The lace pattern of this cardigan has been designed with reference to this lovely little flower.
It is worked top down. Yoke is done first, then stitches for sleeves and body are divided. The body is worked with a slight A shape. Sleeves are worked in the round from top to cuff. A false seam adds interest at the body.
It is an over year sweater, for girls and boys as well.
The pattern gives metric and imperial measures, written instructions, chart and schematic.
