Materials used:

Yarn: 2 colors (You can use almost any yarn, but keep in mind that the weight of your yarn will have an effect on the size of your mushroom.)
Needles: a set of DPNs and/or circular needles. (You may want to go down a size to avoid stuffing showing through.)
also: stuffing, scissors and a tapestry needle

I use a firmer stuffing for the stem and a fluffier stuffing for the cap, but you can use whatever you prefer.
