This was one of our featured patterns from the Mid-Mitten Shop Hop that took place in the fall of 2024. The Make It Tweed yarn that is used in this design adds a great texture to the fabric of the hat, adding just a little interest. Pick matching colors like you see here or go for contrasting colors!

Materials
-1 skein of Gnome’s Feet from Gnome River Yarns (100% SW Merino; 400 yds / 100 grams); grey hat - “Gnome’s Beard”, green hat - “Verdant”
-1 ball of Creative Make It Tweed from Rico Designs (35% viscose, 35% acrylic, 30% polyamide; 485 yards / 50 grams); grey hat - “color #001, Multicolor”, green hat - Neon, “color #001, Green”
-size US 6 / 4.0 mm (or size needed to obtain gauge), 16” circular -size US 6 / 4.0 mm double pointed needles (or preferred needles for small circumference knitting)
-size US 4 / 3.5 mm (or two sizes smaller than gauge needle), 16” circular
-Stitch markers (1 unique for BOR, 3 others to mark decreases)
-Tapestry needle (for weaving in ends)

Due to the stitch used in the pattern, the sizing is very flexible.
Finished hat measures 20”, to fit a 20 – 24” head circumference (2 - 4” of negative ease).

Gauge
22 stitches = 4” in stockinette stitch, using both strands held together, blocked
