Mushroom Stickpin
Utah has several thousand species of fungi, quite amazing for a high desert. From delicately edible to the most deadly, mushrooms grow in many places around the state. One of the most beautiful is also a poisoner, Russula emetica, commonly called the sickener. This red-capped beauty is found in Utah’s pine forests and can make you wish you never tasted mushrooms, but wearing one won’t harm you a bit.
