In addition, I hate seaming, and most mushroom patterns have you sew on spots after making the cap.
So now, here’s a mushroom pattern that has hyphae and where the spots are made as you go. I hope you enjoy.

This pattern came into being with inspiration from my awesome team in the 2020 iGEM competition: DTU BioBuilders!
The iGEM competition is an international event where students from all over the world compete in synthetic biology. Our team this year are working to modify Aspergillus (mould) fungi, particularly the hyphae.
This pattern has a sister: Aspergillus conidiophore, which (I think) is a world first plushie of the Aspergillus conidiophore (the bit that holds the spores) - it may be troublesome, but it’s still cool!
