Pattern uses ch, sl st, sc, hdc, dc and dec. Pattern uses basic embroidery techniques (straight stitches for words and other embellishments). Requires some knowledge on how to sew in a zipper.

Requires:
-Yarn needle
-9”/23 cm zipper
-5/8”/1.5 cm button
-1”/2.5 cm button
-Thread and needle
-Large hook (optional)

Worsted weight yarn:
-Border color (used for page borders, spine, and back cover): 2 1/2 oz./71 g (130 yds./119 m)
-Background colors: 1 1/2 oz./42.5 g (78 yds./71 m) each of green, gray, and 6 colors of choice; small amount of white.
-Other colors (small amounts): black, red, yellow, green, white, gray, brown, scrap yarn in various colors of choice.

Finished size is 9 3/4” X 10 1/4” X 4 1/4” (24.75 X 26 X 10.75 cm).
