You will need approx 50gms each of Aran weight yarn in two colours; 2 buttons (25mm dia) of your choice - I have used wooden buttons; a 4mm crochet hook; a pair of 5mm knitting needles and a darning needle for sewing.

The cosy is knitted in stocking stitch in one piece and folded over for double thickness and extra warmth.

You will need to be able to chrochet a simple chain stitch to make the button loops.

This pattern will suit a beginner with a little experience or guidance.
