Fine Italian merino wool/silk tweed, delicate Shetland lace reminiscent of a thin quill drawing, a reflection of leaves and flowers in the mirror of a lake water - that’s what inspired me to create this shawl.

I offer you a square Shetland-style shawl.
The shawl has three elements that are worked in sequence. The center square is worked first, back and forth. When it is completed, stitches for the border (inner border) are picked up along all 4 sides of the center square, and the border is worked in the round. The third step is the lace edging (outer border) worked along the inner border edges.

Yarn: I recommend using a wool yarn approximately 1000-1500 m/100 g.

Yardage depends on the desired size of the shawl. It’s better to have about 1500-2000 m.

Difficulty level - intermediate. You have to know how to read charts, work garter stitch, knit and purl lace patterns, pick up stitches along all edges and with waste yarn, and graft.

Gauge: will vary depending on the yarn weight and needles size.

Needles and notions: circular needles 2.5 - 3.0 mm; stitch markers; wool needle; set of blocking pins (and wires, optionally).

Я предлагаю вашему вниманию квадратный платок, выполненный в технике шетландских ажуров.
Он вяжется в три этапа.
Сначала выполняется центральная часть которая вяжется лицевыми и изнаночными рядами. Затем по краям поднимаются петли из кромочных и по низу, вяжется по кругу бордюр. И третьим этапом по периметру привязывается ажурная кайма.

Материалы. В качестве пряжи я рекомендую использовать тонкую шерсть, 1000 - 1500 метров в 100 гр.

Расход зависит от того, какой размер готового изделия вы хотите получить. Лучше иметь в запасе примерно 1500 - 2000 метров.

Уровень сложности средний. Для успешного выполнения необходим навык чтения схем, вязания платочного узора и ажурного узора как .в лицевых, так и в изнаночных рядах. Необходимо уметь набирать петли из кромочных и на бросовую нить, а также выполнять трикотажный шов.

Плотность вязания: может варьироваться в зависимости от толщины выбранной вами пряжи и номера спиц.

Рекомендована пряжа: 1000 - 1500 метров в 100 граммах.
