My Fairisle
My interpretation of the Shetland tradition in a three-colour sweater that overlays friezes of geometric and figurative patterns. The shape remains classic : the fit of this sweater is close, with set-in sleeves and a round neck.
My Fairisle is a straight sweater. The shape is quite adjusted ; you should knit a size larger if you want more positive ease. This is a three colours sweater, but only two colours are knitted together by row. The body and sleeves are worked in the round : you always work on the right side to make the pattern easier to read. To open the armholes, the steeks technique allows you to knit in the round until the neckline. Only the sleeve heads are knitted back and forth. But an option without the steeks is also offered.
